This week’s episode is a few days late, and for that I apologize, however there really wasn’t much I could do about that. I had to take some sick time thanks to the ol’ knees.

Anyway, as for this episode… Vince and I tackled a couple different mini-series; Spider-Man Noir and the Secret of the Foot Clan.

I enjoyed Spider-Man Noir more than Vince, however we both agreed wholeheartedly on the Foot Clan.

Episode 119: Injustice… not as bad as we’d imagined

When Vince pitched this week’s episode to me, he didn’t even try to sugar-coat it. This was to be an episode where we make fun of something absolutely terrible.

Thing is, the series actually has several redeeming qualities. Enough to make us keep reading it, which is saying a lot considering how many comics we read each week.

Episode 118: Invincible

Vince had been dying to get me to read Invincible for quite some time. I had honestly not read that much about it, and so was hesitate to start a super-hero comic from outside the big two. Sure, I enjoy TMNT and several other super-hero comics, but for some reason, Invincible really didn’t call out to me.

Having now read every single issue in the span of a week and a half, I can tell you that I was a fool for not diving into this series soon.

Bravo Kirkman. What an amazing series this has been.

Episode 115: Of Mice and Evolved Men

This week, Vince and I tackle a classic major event in Marvel’s chronology, as well as a just finished mini-series from Archaia which impressed the hell out of us. The Evolutionary War was a major event in the summer of ’88, crossing over into many of Marvel’s annuals. A lot of important things happened during this event, and both Vince and I suggest you check it out at some point, if for no other reason than to learn a little more about Marvel’s history.

As for Mouseguard: The Black Axe, we cannot recommend this enough. What an amazing series, full of astounding art and incredible writing… both from the same creator. Check it out.
