Episode 265: The Shepherd

This week, Vince and I tackle an indie series: The Shepherd. Its creator, Andrea Lorenzo Molinari, reached out to us and asked if we’d be interested in reading his work. Episode 264: Dragon City In The Sky

This week, Vince and I tackled sci-fi and fantasy. First, we talked about the new event happening over at Valiant: 4001 AD. While a bit confusing to those new to the characters and setting, it was still an excellent first issue, and enticed me enough that I’ll be finding back issues of Rai to get caught up. As for D&D: Shadows of the Vampire, Zub did a great job blending humour and horror. As for what else we’re reading… Gwenpool. Nothing else matters. Enjoy. Episode 263: Civil War – Part 1

Here it is! The episode that you might have been waiting for! Our cross-over event with the bastards – I mean, folks over at All Comics Considered covering Civil War (film). Listen to this episode first, then head on over to ACC for part 2! This was a massive recording session, lasting two hours, with Vince, Marty, Hannah, Nick, Tim and myself. We hope you enjoy these episodes. Because unlike Marvel and DC, this was our one and only “event”! Please be forewarned that we spoiled damn never everything about this movie. Episode 262: Meh Comic Book Day

So this week was Free Comic Book Day. Who knew? This was one of the least advertised FCBDs of recent years, and it may be because there really wasn’t all that much to take in. With the exception of a couple good stories, most offerings weren’t up to par, in our opinion. Episode 260: With Nick!

This was a bad week for DC. That said, it’s hard to feel sorry for them, when they are solely responsible for everything that is going wrong with their company. Nick from All Comics Considered stopped by to record with us this week, and had some great insight into DC’s current dilemma… and possible courses of action for those of us who object their actions. As I’ve said on both Twitter and the podcast, I won’t be covering any further DC comics, TV shows or movies until they begin taking responsibility for their actions, including those of Eddie Berganza. Episode 256: I just keep going back to Batman kicking a sunflower

This week, Vince and I discuss DC’s upcoming Rebirth event. DC broadcast a conference focusing on Rebirth, giving us some details regarding series, creative teams and the likes. We still have a lot of questions, however there were a few details which gave us something to look forward to. We also tackle the conclusion of Snyder’s massive Batman story-arc involving one of our least favourite villains ever. And in our What We’re Reading segment, Vince gives his thoughts on Batman v Superman, Ultimates and Angela, and I tackle Star Wars, Tomb Raider and my favourite Spider-Man comic book at the moment, Web Warriors.
