This week, Vince and I finally get around to discussing Lone Wolf and Cub, in all of its glory. We’ve been planning this episode for some time now, and each delay has been agonizing. I know that I personally have been waiting for this episode ever since I pitched the idea for the comic book podcast to Vince. It is my favorite series of all time. The writing is insanely powerful, as are the illustrations. It is a classic for a reason.

Also discussed this week, 47 Ronin, which both Vince and I agree is exceptional. Oh, and we also talk about DC’s newest cancelations.

It’s easy to hear when you guys both like some comic and start to talk about it. It is really fun to listen and I think most people want to take the comic after listening to you two talk so giddy. I still have to say that Lone Wolf and cub isnt for every one. It can be really hard sometimes and I cant say every one enjoy about the lore or samurai and so on.

Still I loved the Lone wolf myseöf but it has been ages that I read the comic. I think I have to read it again. Ohh and Japan has some what really weird honor system that not many can understand and not many think the caste that japan had…

I agree that the series isn’t for everyone. Not everyone is as interested in that time and culture as Vince and I obviously are. That said, I still feel that many can get a lot out of the series. The writing is absolutely incredible, as is the art.

It had a profound impact on comics at the time, and has continued to inspire many in the industry.
