Episode 067: Grim Hunt

We were thrilled to hear that Jonathan Maberry had been nominated for a Stoker Award for Marvel Universe vs Wolverine, and wish him the best of luck. We’re also very happy that the medium is finally getting a shot at an award this year. It’s about time comics are more widely recognized as being able to deliver great stories, as with traditional books/short stories. So this is the week I’ve been waiting for… well, at least since last week. Vince made me read Kraven’s Last Hunt as well as Grim Hunt, and as became apparent last week, I was nowhere near as enthusiastic about either of these story arcs as Vince is. We tackled the first story arc last week, opening up the flood gates for our argument regarding the second this week. Enjoy. Episode 066: Kraven’s Chump Hunt

This week, because Vince thought we’d been discussing too much Batman and Spider-Man, he decided we should focus on a Spider-Man storyline. A retro storyline. He’d been wanting to discuss Kraven’s Last Hunt for as long as we’ve been doing the podcast, and saw this as the perfect time. Episode 055: Blue Powers

This week, Vince and I cover a couple fantastic story arcs; The Death of Retro Girl, which appeared in Powers vol. 1 #1-6, and Spider-Man: Blue #1-6. Episode 035: Vince on Location

This week’s episode of the Comic Book Informer podcast was an exercise in frustration and fun.
