Fear Itself #1 is the first issue of Marvel’s next big event. In an attempt to bring the stories of Thor and Captain America together before their movies this summer, Sin, the Red Skull’s daughter, has gained an Asgardian hammer of her own. Much like Thor’s Mjolnir, the hammer grants her the powers of a god. Meanwhile, Thor and his father come to blows while an undercurrent of fear and tension runs through the population. A good story with amazing art, “Fear Itself” is off to a great start with this issue.

I was not as impressed with this title as you apparently were. I’m debating writing a review for it, though may just continue on my Eisner nominees instead and leave this review as the only one for the site.

I know that you’re far more fond of ol’ blondie than I am, however my issues with this issue (/groan) weren’t just with Thor. There were a lot of problems with the story as a whole. At least in my opinion.

Furthermore, what little was there, was weak. It’s as if all they cared about was showing Thor getting spanked by Odin.

Big whoop. Although Spider-Man’s reaction did cause me to LOL IRL.
