This weekend was NYCC, and we got some news on what’s coming up for the big two, Image, Dark Horse and more. You’ll notice almost immediately that I didn’t hold back when asked what I thought about different things. There’s just so much crap that you have to swim through in order to get to the nuggets of information that are genuinely exciting. Episode 208: He’s Dead!

This week, Vince got so worked up about a comic that he decided to post-pone our planned Daredevil discussion and forced me to get caught up on what’s been happening with the turtles instead. Episode 177: TMNT

This week, Vince and I tackle the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… and a huge way, spanning three story-arcs (the last one still on-going). People need to understand that TMNT is currently one of the best series out there. I wouldn’t put it at the top of the list, but it is definitely in the top 10, in my opinion. Episode 150: Saga

This week, Vince and I (mostly I) celebrate our 150th episode. *throws streamer into the air* We start off by discussing the new Man of Steel movie for a few minutes, seeing as I finally caught it (and wasn’t all that impressed, to tell you the truth). We also discuss Saga at length. As I’d said, I decided that I’d go through all of the issues to see if I was in fact missing out on something awesome. Episode 136: Friggin’ Turtles

Normally, Vince likes to wait till a story-arc is done before covering it on the podcast, however after reading the last issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, he just couldn’t hold it in anymore. This week, we talk about the first three issues of the on-going story-arc, gushing about the writing, the art, hell, even the fight choreography. Everything rocks. We also cover a creator-owned series which was submitted to us for review. The series, Zoe: Out of Time is available quite cheap, and is well worth the cost. It’s not without a few minor issues, but overall, it’s definitely something you’ll want to check out. Also this week, a crapload of different titles in the What We’re Reading segment. Enjoy. Episode 044: The New Big Boys of DC

What an awesome week to discuss comic books, with the relaunch of two of DC’s biggest titles; Action Comics and Detective Comics. That said, our opinions weren’t all favorable. Also discussed (er, bitched about) was Justice League International #1. Regarding the sock puppet discussion: During our recording of this week’s For The Lore podcast, Vince was discussing socketing in a game, and I, being fairly well medicated and loopy, took my socks off, switched the broadcast to the camera on my laptop, and began what can only be described as the most awesome sock puppet theatre display in history.
