Episode 044: The New Big Boys of DC

What an awesome week to discuss comic books, with the relaunch of two of DC’s biggest titles; Action Comics and Detective Comics. That said, our opinions weren’t all favorable. Also discussed (er, bitched about) was Justice League International #1. Regarding the sock puppet discussion: During our recording of this week’s For The Lore podcast, Vince was discussing socketing in a game, and I, being fairly well medicated and loopy, took my socks off, switched the broadcast to the camera on my laptop, and began what can only be described as the most awesome sock puppet theatre display in history. There was much laughter, though not from Vince. Episode 038: We heart Remender

The problem with editing a ‘clean’ podcast, is that you not only have to listen for every swear, but that you also want to keep a close ear for any inappropriate discussions or comments as well. The problem with co-hosting and editing a ‘clean’ podcast, is that you know just how much work goes into cleaning up a podcast. A swear here or there is nothing the quack out, however comments are a little trickier to either edit out entirely (while still maintaining continuity) or splice in such a fashion as to make them seem clean. So what happens when you know all of the work that is involved and you start on a comparison that is likely to be raunchy? Well, you stop yourself and sound like you’ve just had an aneurysm. For the record; “like shots out of a strippers navel”. You’ll know where to insert that.
