My work day ends at 5PM. Every Tuesday, sickness and such notwithstanding, I call Vince via Skype as soon as I’ve got my recording application all setup. We shoot the breeze for a few moments, catch up on some news, and do a sound check to normalize our volumes.

“All right. Ready?” I’ll ask.

“Ready when you are.”

I’ll press a button, and our theme will start. I don’t add it during editing. I feel it gets us in the right frame of mind to hear it every week before we jump into our episode.

Every time I watch an old Batman Beyond episode, I think of our podcast. I like that.

This week, I thought it best to start the podcast recording as soon as I got a “Hello” from Vince as he answered the call. We could have talked for hours pre-show, however I wanted folks to hear what I assumed would be the weight of our words… our decisions.
